DISTORTION

Time in relation to memory and the alteration that is inflicted on it after its expiration. What remains? What is imprinted? What changes?
Repression of certain events, faces and emotions is sometimes used as a defence mechanism for the brain to manage trauma. This piece consists of two parts and time is crucial as it brings about changes in space.
This diptych presents two realities, where the vulnerability of memory is captured either through the use of a malleable/changeable material, such as charcoal or through the complete absence of specific information as a result of oblivion.
Ultimately, the question always remains, is there an objective truth or has time fooled us all?
